HONOR CEO George Zhao has provided some insight into the potential price of the upcoming Magic V2 foldable phone in Europe. While speaking at the recent IFA 2023 event, Zhao suggested that the pricing for the new foldable device would be similar to its predecessor.
Although the Magic V2 was showcased at IFA 2023, it is set to hit global markets only in the first quarter of 2024. However, consumers can expect it to be priced as a “good reference” to its predecessor, the Magic Vs, which was launched in March 2023 with a price tag of €1,599 (~$1,725).
Even with a possible €100 (~$108) price increase, the HONOR Magic V2 would remain more affordable than many other foldable phones currently on the market. This could be a game-changer for consumers looking for high-tech features at a competitive price.
While the Magic V2 does not include certain features such as wireless charging, ultra-thin glass, and water resistance, it still boasts impressive specs. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a powerful 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired charging, stylus support, a reduced display crease, and a versatile rear camera system.
The anticipation for the international launch of the Magic V2 is building, as the device has been well-received in terms of design. Fans of HONOR products outside of China are hopeful that they will be able to get their hands on the foldable phone sooner than the projected Q1 2024 release date.
With its competitive pricing and impressive features, the HONOR Magic V2 is set to make waves in the foldable phone market. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting release.
