Jenny McCarthy Uses Latisse Eyelash Treament

Jenny McCarthy

Jenny McCarthy is a fan of Lattise, the new FDA approved eyelash treatment which makes your lashes 25% longer, 106% fuller and 18% darker in 16 weeks. The treatment costs about $120 for a 30 day supply, but in the end it can save you on expensive mascaras! Lattise is only available through a prescription and it’s even endorsed by Celebrity eyebrow expert, Anastasia.

If you checkout their website, the before and after results are pretty amazing. I’m sure TONS of celebs are going to be using this.

  1. LADIES… I would take caution before using this product. in my opinion, the pros out weigh the cons. Side effects are dark circles, change in the color of your iris, red/itchy eyes… hmm, I would think that out weighs having more eyelashes. Not to mention, why go through the hassle of a prescription DRUG when I can purchase a safe product like Revitalash from my salon??

  2. After reading about this product, I tried it out– Latisse is FDA approved, the other products, like Revitalash are NOT FDA approved. The change of your eye color happens if you use it like an eye drop and put it directly into your eye (which you’re not suppose to do anyway). And like every single product and/or prescription out there– there is always a chance of side effects. Look at a bottle of Advil– they have POSSIBLE side effects. I’ve used Latisse since its come out and its far better than Revitalish and Jan Marini. AND again, it’s FDA approved!

  3. I have been using it for 8 weeks and I love it. My lashes are much longer and I can see a lot of new growth. I can’t wait until I see the full effects.

  4. I wish people would really educate themselves before commenting on a product they haven’t done their homework on….of course, Allergan has to disclose any and all possible side effects! Disclosing side effects does not necessarily mean they *will* occur – especially for the majority of people. Remember, even Tylenol can be *deadly* – when not used correctly. But I don’t read people complaining about that…

Iris color change was never seen when studied for use to grow lashes. (it was seen rarely – when used as glaucoma med (Lumigan), Hyperpigmentation is rare along the lids. More is not better – only use one drop per eye each night on the sterile applicator like it says to do. And it’s the only one the FDA approved – and that’s pretty important…

When used as directed – I think Latisse is really safe – and best – it really works! How many products nowadays actually do what they say they’re going to do!?

Latisse is working great – really great – for me. I’m a nurse and read all of the clinical trial and all of the side effects and feel really comfortable using it. And as I get older – my lashes are not what they used to be. But I didn’t want to spend $120 per month either – and did some research and found http://www.Longlashesonline.com has it for only $89. (and I just got a $20 rebate!) – Best – you can order online – no doctor visit! The bottle lasted about 2 weeks longer (3mls translates to about 80 drops per bottle – you do the math) and I was careful not to waste any. So I am not ordering every month either –

Longlashesonline.com does require an online medical history to be sure it is okay for you to use – and then they shipped the next day. I even called them to check them out. – I can’t be happier with Latisse – or their longlashesonline customer service. Their site has lots of great information on it too.

    anyway – that’s my 2 cents – for what it’s worth…Hope it helps.

  5. Here is another two cents. I used this product, as directed, meaning that I did not use it as eye drops. After only five days, my iris started to darken and they have continued to do so for months after my discontinuation. It is ridiculous that someone would discourage people from sharing their apprehensive views on a prescription medication that has potential to cause such devastating side effects. I am not a registered nurse but I am an honest person who has compassion for others and I am offering my experience as a fair warning. I wish someone would have written something like this when I was reading about this product… maybe it would have dissuade me from considering it to begin with. Eyes are the window to your soul so don’t challenge what God gave you if you really don’t have to.

  6. kelly –

Really? Iris darkening after only 5 days?!

Don’t you think that it’s interesting that that didn’t happen -to a single person- in the clinical trial after months and months and months of clinical study? – but *you* had it happen after only 5 days of correctly using the product….hmmm.

If you – ahem- “honestly” experienced side effects that were so out of range with what was studied and reported in the results of the clinical trial – that the FDA reviewed and APPROVED – then you should, by all means, stop whining and report it to them immediately – they want to hear from you.

For your convenience, here is the link, right from the latisse.com website: You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA. Visit http://www.fda.gov/medwatch, or call 1-800-FDA-1088.

As far as your comments: “It is ridiculous that someone would discourage people from sharing their apprehensive views on a prescription medication that has potential to cause such devastating side effects. I am not a registered nurse but I am an honest person who has compassion for others and I am offering my experience as a fair warning.”

    Nice.

I was not discouraging anything other than stating -the facts- to help educate and set the record straight – instead of blabbering some uneducated, off the cuff, fear mongering that some people here are so quick to do…

As for your other comment – “I wish someone would have written something like this when I was reading about this product… maybe it would have dissuade me from considering it to begin with. Eyes are the window to your soul so don’t challenge what God gave you if you really don’t have to.”

    I dunno, maybe you’re right –

Maybe – God just punished *you* with iris darkening for challenging Him on what he already gave you…

  7. Flora-

Maybe your just the kind of controlling loser that likes to challenge people via email because you have nothing better to do. It seems as though you lack compassion and personality. Hmm, well my husband, family and all my friends noticed the change so I beg to differ with your sarcastic debate and I have reported it. Not only are you arrogant and rude but by golly it looks like you speak for God’s damnation as well. Wow, is he coming down? You really are a loser. Read over your ridiculous response and then spend some time evolving. In the meantime, I will pray for you while I spend time with all the people who love me. Oh, and by the way, God made me gorgeous so my eyes really won’t make a huge difference in the overall picture. I was just commenting on the soul level which the soulless can’t seem to understand. Seems like you may be a bad karma collector. Good luck with that! Cheers.

  8. Oh yes, my eye doctor identified it as well so suck it sweetheart :)

  9. My comment is for Kelly- you honestly sound like you work for a Latisse competitor. If you are truly being honest and by the way had no prior conditions before using Latisse then please identify your doctor’s name and email. I am trying to get honest feedback and 5 days for an iris to change color does sound suspicious, you must admit that much.
