Dr. Aroh Barjatya, a Vadodara native, recently made headlines as the principal investigator of a NASA rocket mission launched during a solar eclipse. This mission, which aimed to study disturbances in the ionosphere of the earth’s atmosphere during a solar eclipse, was a groundbreaking endeavor led by Aroh and his team at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
With a lifelong passion for space, planes, and rockets, Aroh’s journey to this significant achievement began in his childhood. After completing his education in the USA, he joined Embry Riddle Aeronautical University as a professor and quickly rose to the role of principal investigator for this innovative NASA mission.
The rockets launched during the mission were designed and built by Aroh’s team to determine how disturbances from the solar eclipse could affect satellite and radio communications on Earth.
