Leighton Meester may live like a rich spoiled brat on Gossip Girl, but in real life her favorite beauty products are all under $20 bucks! Leighton says when she’s off set she doesn’t wear much makeup and likes to be low maintenance.

Her favorite indulgence are the pedicures at Mandarin Oriental spas (a hotel chain). Leighton loves how they wash her feet in rose water and serve her hot tea.

Leighton’s favorite makeup to wear on the red carpet is MAC’s Russian Red lipstick, $14.

Leighton loves to blend her own fragrances, which she calls “Meest”! She goes to Fragrance Shop New York Inc., $16.50 for .25oz of a custom scent.

For extra moisture Leighton slathers on Palmer’s Cocoa Butter formula, $5.30.

Celebrity Budget Beauty Tips

We all want to look as fabulous as our favorite celebrities but we don’t all have the millions that celebs have for pricey treatments and products. Some celebs are down to earth and offer some budget-friendly beauty tips.

Leighton Meester gives her hair a lift by washing her hair in a special way, “When you have a lot of buildup, shampoo your hair when it’s dry, then rinse. This prevents the water from diluting the cleanser. It gets the job done faster.”

Kim Kardashian gets her radiant looks from lots of beauty sleep, “Just sleep. Sleep is the best beauty advice I could give anyone…And use a satin pillowcase. It prevents wrinkles and keeps your hair from breaking.”

Another great tip is from Shayne Lamas, who says to mix a little bit of sand with a blob of body cream, and then use it to exfoliate your hands.

Gabrielle Union beats the frizzies by teasing her hair up high. “By the time it falls, it’s look right. At the start of the night mines super-high.”

To help de-puff baggy eyes, Selma Blair takes a cool shower, “When I wake up bloated, that really helps me de-puff.”
