Catherine Zeta Jones Makeup Goof

The always beautiful Catherine Zeta Jones attended Global Leadership Awards Gala in NY last night with her husband Michael Douglas, and her makeup looked like a complete mess! Catherine is the spokeswoman for Elizabath Arden and usually look impeccable on the red carpet.

It looks like she had either a bad sunburn or just needs a facial stat! Her makeup looks very dry and cakey, and her eye makeup looks worn and clumpy – fire that makeup artist! I totally understand even celebrities have bad makeup days, but this is just too extreme. It looks like she had her makeup done the night before and slept in it and didn’t even reapply lipstick. I knew a girl in high school who had her makeup done at Clinique and slept in it overnight so she could wear it to school the next day – it actually looked better than CZJ!

Below are some more pics from the disaster and a pic of how Catherine usually looks.

Celeb Trend: Pale Pink Lips

The latest celeb trend on the red carpets are pale pink lips. The look was seen on the runway at fashion week in New York for Spring 2009 and it’s being copied by celebs like Lindsay Lohan, Becki Newton, Charlize Theron, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

The models at the Herve Leger show wore MAC’s Paintstick in Cool Pink. Also try YSL’s Rouge Pur lipstick in No. 22 Pink Celebration.

MTV VMA Celebrity Beauty Looks

The stars on the red carpet at the MTV VMA’s looked fabulous, from their hair to their makeup. Lindsay Lohan kept her makeup subtle with the focus on her long, long extensions. The Hills Audrina Patridge looked glamorous and rocked a blue eye liner to bring out her green/hazel eyes.

Christina Aguilera’s makeup looked severe, probably since she was going to be performing on stage later that night.

Ashlee Simpson had a pregnancy glow and kept the focus on her eyes with a smokey look. Heidi Montag always looks great, I’d love to see her try something different though.

Jordan Sparks created a glamorous, smokey eye – and finished off the look with pulling her hair back into a chic ponytail.

Lauren Conrad always looks flawless, I love the way she did her hair for this event. It’s very dressy, but not overdone.

Miley Cyrus looked about her age with some subtle makeup. On the other hand, Pink looked very “frosty” with her silver hair and silvery eyemakeup.

Rihanna added a blonde streak to her hair for a Glam look at the VMA’s. Taylor Swift looked ultra-glam with wing-tipped eyeliner and a soft rosey pink lip gloss.

Katy Perry went super-glam with cherry red lipstick chapstick and a sweet diamond bow hairclip. Her look is very retro, pinup – but it totally works on the red carpet.

Site-To-See: InStyle Celebrity Makeup Match

I came across this micro site with InStyle’s website, and though I would share it with you. Celebrity Makeup Match allows you to pick a celebrity which most closely resembles you (hair, eyes, and skin color) and they provide you with the best makeup colors to use! You can choose from three different looks on the celebrity that most resembles you (Day, Sexy, and Glam) and you can also view all the professionally matched products for your coloring separated into Eyes, Face, Cheek, and Lips categories – along with expert tips.

I tried it out for myself and picked Heidi Klum, although I think my skin is more fair than hers. Overall the colors were purple, pink, and mauve – which I already knew were great colors for ladies with brown eyes!

Readers can submit their own transformation photo with the suggested makeup, check out the transformations that have already been posted.

Celebrity Beauty Obsession: Smith’s Rosebud Salve

Smith’s Rosebud Salve is a must have staple for celebrity makeup bags – celebs like Chloe Sevigny, Eva Longoria, Katherine Heigl, Kimberly Stewart, Jennifer Garner, and Nicky Hilton rely on the super-versatile salve to moisturize their lips or to smooth onto any dry spots.

The 100 year old remedy is also a quick fix for burns, dry elbows, and even diaper rash. Best of all Rosebud Salve is only $6 and comes in a variety of flavors including Rosebud, Strawberry (my personal fave), Minted Rose, Brambleberry, and Menthol.
