Jessica Simpson is Shaping Up with a New Detox Diet Plan

Jessica Simpson is getting ready to finally shed the extra weight she’s put on over the past few years by following a new detox vegan diet plan to shed the weight quickly.

She began her regimen by flying to meet with master healer Ming Yi Wang in Las Angeles who recommended in the morning Jessica begin her day with a mug if hot water and then drink Pu-erh tea throughout the day which is great for expelling toxins from the body. This isn’t any tea you can find at your local Whole Foods – it costs a whopping $1,500 for 8 ounces.

Jess also sticks to a vegan diet, eating only plant-based foods and avoiding onion and garlic which are thought to be “bad energy” foods by the master healer.

In addition to flushing out the fat with a vegan diet, Jess is undergoing a new fitness regimen. She hits the gym for 45 minutes three to five times a week. Jess’s trainer (who also whipped her into shape for her role as Daisy Duke) has her do resistance training and uses her own body weight to strengthen and tone without bulking up.

Jessica says, "I'm obsessed with braids. I get tons of compliments from guys when I wear my hair off my face!"

Jessica Simpson’s new reality show ‘The Price of Beauty’, where she travels the world to learn what real beauty means, begins March 15 at 10pm on VH1.

Along for the ride is her BFF CaCee Cobb and hair stylist Ken Paves. They’ll travel around the world to see what is defined as beauty in various cultures. From neck rings to weight gain – Jessica will discover the real meaning of beauty (or so we think).

Hair Styling Tips From Jessica Simpson’s Stylist

Jessica Simpson’s BFF and stylist Ken Paves reveals how he gives Jessica the perfect blowout, and how you can DIY at home.

Ken suggests waiting until your hair is about 95% dry ( a little damp). If you’re in a major rush and don’t have time to let it air dry run a blow dryer over it on low.

Apply a shine serum if you have curly or thick hair and a volumizer if you have straight or thin hair.

Section your hair into small pieces, about 1″ and begin blow drying with a round brush. Continue until hair is dry and finish off with a flat iron, which will lock in shine and give you a glamorous look like Jess!

Ken has his own line of hair products, including a travel ionic hair dryer, ceramic curling iron and ceramic flat iron – only $60 each (the price of one or two professional blowouts!).

Jessica Simpson was out on the town with her BFF Ken Paves, I guess Jess wasn’t planning on having her photograph taken because she was sans makeup. She is a natural beauty but you can see Jess has a lot of sun damage, especially for being only 29.

Jessica Simpson is working on her fitness by hitting the gym after her nasty breakup with Tony Romo. The singer has gained weighed in the past year and working hard to get back to her Daisy Duke bikini body.

Jess is shedding pounds with trainer Harley Pasternak’s 5 Factor Fitness plan, which requires her to workout 5 days a week for up to 45 min a day doing a comb or cardio and strength training.

For her diet Jess sticks to three meals a day (300 calories each) and two snacks (200 calories each) for a total of  1,300 calories a day. Jess loves her mexican food – dieters can have 1 cheat day a week!

Jessica Simpson Gets a Beauty Reality Show

Jessica Simpson is getting a new reality show on VH1 titled, “The Price of Beauty”.  The show will feature Jessica traveling around the world in search of what makes people beautiful in various cultures.

I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful.

I’m guessing she’ll be meeting with women in African countries that have rings around their neck, or plates in their lip – but I’m sure Jessica won’t be doing any major physical transformations. Filming is set to begin mid July and the show will air in early 2010.

Jessica Simpson looked shockingly thick when she sang at a radio station Chili Cookoff this weekend in Florida. Aside from the unflattering outfit, it appears Jessica has gained about 20 pounds.

In a 2007 Harpers Bazaar interview, Jessica told pal, hairstylist Ken Paves

Do you think the guys in here are all really looking at all those skinny girls and thinking, Wow, I want to get with her? Or are they looking at the girls with the curves and thinking, Yeah, I want to get with her!” Simpson said.

“Curves are better,” Simpson added. “I don’t get the whole rail thing. It’s not good for your heart, it’s not good for your mind; it’s emotionally destructive, it really is.”

Back in 2005, Jessica was at her skinniest at around 100 pounds at 5′3″. Since her divorce from Nick Lachey and her ups and downs with relationships she’s put on some added weight.

I wouldn’t  be surprised if Jessica winds up doing Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, or any one of those weight loss programs within a couple years.

Jessica Simpson Got Lip Injections

Jessica Simpson is showing obvious signs of lip filler injections. She was spotted recently with puffy, pouty lips – which you can see are significantly fuller and swollen than just one month ago.

This isn’t Jessica’s first time plumping her lips, she commented back in May that she “looked liek a blowfish” and said “My lips are fine the way they are”.

I think her lips were fine the way they were- in the photo from October she clearly has full lips that look natural.
