Jennifer Love Hewitt named one of the 50 Most Amazing Bodies

Jen says - "I need to acknowledge that I'm getting older...and my body is getting softer."

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Zac Efron were named 2 out of 50 Most Amazing Bodies in People Magazine’s body issue (pick it up!).

Over the past year Jen has lost about 20 pounds and maintained her weight loss, after being mortified when unflattering photos of her in a swimsuit while on vacation surfaced all over the internet.

The diet extremes Jen has tried in the past:

“I tried the grapefruit diet pill. I made me feel crazy.” Jen also thought if she walked in high heels on her treadmill she’d have better legs. She’s even gotten on the treadmill while eating ice cream!

On how she gained weight:

Jen says working 15 hour days, being lazy, in love and cooking homestyle food made the weight creep up on her fast.

How she got fit for her People magazine photo shoot:

Jen ateĀ  an all protein diet and did 2 hour daily workout sessions for 1 week.

How Jen avoids sweets:

“I don’t keep sweets in my house anymore. My fridge looks like a bachelor’s. It keep me from snacking.”

How Jen got fit by working out:

“I hired a train. The first 5 workouts, because I had not worked out in probably a year, I got sick.” Within only 3 weeks Jen started noticing a difference. Now she does the elliptical for 50 min a day and then lifts weights for 20.

Jen’s new diet:

Jen tries to not go over 1,500 calories a day, but she doesn’t deny herself her favorite foods. “If I want fries, I’ll eat them – I’ll just do a little longer on the elliptical.” For a healthy, smart snack Jen keeps her cabinet stocked with butter-free microwave popcorn. She also always says no to the bread basket at a restaurant and usually avoids dessert. Jen’s favorite indulgence are donuts – but she’s given them up!

Jennifer Love Hewitt (JLove) showed off a slimmer, more toned body while vacationing in Hawaii with boyfriend Jamie Kennedy. The actress says she is working out five times a week and doing lots of cardio and weights.

And just because she’s on vacation doesn’t mean she gets to stop working out. JLove played a game of tennis in her bikini and wedges, and sources said she was doing water aerobics in the pool. As for her diet JLove is sticking to brown rice and fresh veggies.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Loses 18 Pounds

Jennifer Love Hewitt is showing off her recent weight loss on the cover of Us Weekly magazine. Jennifer shed 18 pounds in 10 weeks. “I am in a pretty good workout regimen that I like, so it inspired me to keep it up,” Hewitt tells Us. “The energy level and the way I feel now is great.” Jennifer is engaged to Ross McCall, and is working on slimming down for her wedding day.

“With her, it’s not, ‘I want to look good in that dress,’” trainer Stevie Sant’Angelo tells Us. “She wanted to start moving around because she thought it would make her feel better.

“She told me, ‘They said some rude, mean things, but that’s not why I wanted to change,’” Sant’Angelo says.

About 1 year ago some unflattering pictures of Jennifer while in a bathing suit on vacation were floating around the internet and bloggers were calling Jen fat. Fed up with all the negative comment Jennifer set the story straight on the cover of People magazine.
