Gwen Stefani debuted a new hairstyle – the singer went platinum blond and now has long bangs and shoulder length hair. I think it looks reminiscent of one of her idols, Blondie.

Gwen Stefani’s trademark look has always been her red lips. Gwen revealed to InStyle magazine that she’s been wearing red lipstick since she was 18 years old! You would think there are times when Gwen goes au naturel – but she swears she always wears lipstick or lip gloss. Even her husband Gavin Rossdale prefers when she wears red lips.

Gwen Stefani is changing up her signature look -  bright red lipstick, which she has been wearing for years. “Right now I’m feeling fushia” Gwen told InStyle magazine. When asked if she’s given up her signature red lipstick for good she responded, “Not a chance. But I love to layer tons of different shades to create new colors.”

While Gwen didn’t reveal what shades she likes to mix and match she did share how she gets her lipstick last longer. “I start with a matte lipstick that’s really dry, then I put a more creamy moist lipstick on top.”

To maintain her signature look Gwen says her best advice is to stay out of the sun, and when it comes to her platinum blonde her she refuses to give up her secret!

Gwen Stefani attended the 26th Annual Night of Stars Hosted by Fashion Group International in New York and showed off her new look – longer hair! Gwen has always been seen with chin length or just touching the shoulders length hair. I wonder if this look was just for the evening or if she’s trying to grow her hair out – either way it looks gorgeous on her!

1. “When I want my red lipstick to look more subtle, I apply it straight from the tube. For a more matte look, I’ll put some power on top,” Gwen says about switching up her signature look.

2. “I’m into the Marilyn Monroe thing!” To get her liner pefect, Gwen’s makeup artist traces liquid over pencil. Good idea!

3. Gwen uses a peach skin-corrector pen to cover up dark circle. Try Dior SkinFlash (I use LoLa Cosmetics Creme Concealer in ‘Fair’)

4. To moisturize Gwen keeps it simple and soft, “I straight-up love Johnson’s Baby lotion.” I wonder if she shares it with son Kingston!?

5. Gwen knows the importance of wearing SPF, unfortunately from years of sun damage growing up in California. “Growing up in California, I was a lifeguard and spent too much time in the sun.” She now wears SPF 50 daily to keep her porcelain skin white and wrinkle-free.

Gwen recently kept cool with her hair in cute braided knots. To copy Gwen’s look divide your hair into six even sections and create a messy braid with each section. Twist each braid into a loose knot and secure with a bobby pin that matches your hair color.
