Cindy Crawford’s Secret to Being Skinny

Supermodel Cindy Crawford has maintained her beauty and her body throughout the years. Her secret trick to dieting is what she calls an 80/80 diet.

Cindy says she eats 80% good, 80% of the time. It seems to be working great for her – and it sounds like a great way to stay slim and not deny yourself of everything.

In the morning Cindy says she likes to start out with a protein shake or oatmeal, so she’s at least had one health meal.

Supermodel Beauty Tips from Cindy Crawford

Cindy Crawford shared with InStyle magazine some of her most prized tips she’s learned for looking naturally beautiful. Cindy promises she doesn’t wake up looking picture perfect – but that she uses simple tricks to enhance her beauty without looking overdone.

Here are some of Cindy’s tricks to looking beautiful and young:

Find your perfect hair color
“People always talk about plastic surgery and Botox, but I think the right hair color, more than anything else, is what keeps a woman looking youthful.” Cindy suggests taking photos of your hair in different lighting to see what looks best, and aim for dimension – not flat color.

Get Microdermabrasion
Even with the best and most expensive skincare products, you just can’t get the same results as you can with Microderm. Cindy says she gets Microderm once a month to remove dead skin cells and in between treatments she uses a gentle scrub pad to get all the makeup out of her pores.

The trick to perfect lips
Cindy says it’s important to not skip lip liner. To do her lips she starts by moisturizing with a balm and then lines them with a flesh toned pencil to enhance the natural shape of her lips. For a youthful look she wears a nude color – but is sure to not wear a color that is too light or will wash her out, preferably beigy-pinks that are a shade darker than her skintone.

Cindy’s bonus trick: To make lips look fuller tab a bit of shimmer powder on the ‘widow’s peak’ of your lip to make lips look fuller.

Did Cindy Crawford Have Plastic Surgery? Admits to Botox

Cindy Crawford recently appeared at an event for UNICEF looking particularly firming and taught. While the supermodel may not have had a facelite and eyelift she has admitted to having Botox injections.

Cindy told GQ magazine “There’s a doctor in London who I’ve gone to for Botox. I did a whole skincare line with him. But I haven’t done collagen, I dont think.”

She also went on to say she’s not embarassed or ashamed to get minor procedures done on ther face to slow down aging, “Because people have such expectations of what they are going to find when they see me, that brings added pressure to fight the aging process, but don’t get me wrong. I think I’m holding together pretty good.”

Cindy Crawford Skin-Care Secrets

Cindy Crawford

Like a fine wine Supermodel Cindy Crawford keeps improving with age – in fact she appears to be ageless. Cindy talked to Allure magazine about the beauty tricks she uses to keep her skin and hair looking young.

On how she feels about her skin now:
In some ways, my skin is better now than it has ever been. I used to get more pimples, and my pores could look big. But through skin care, microdermabrasion, and possibly aging my skin has gotten less oily and evened out a bit.

How she cares for her skin:
I use a day cream with antioxidants and sunscreen, a night cream, and an eye cream. I do masks once a week, and I get microdermabrasion once a month. I’m pretty dilligent with microdermasion because I’ve noticed a big difference in the texture of my skin from it.

On areas she pays ’special’ attention to:
My hands and decollete…When I put moisturizer on my face, I use a little extra so I have enough to cover my hands. Most people don’t start caring about the decollete until it’s too late, but I’m religious about it.

On caring for her hair:
Color is the most important factor. You can get any plastic surgery in the world, but hair color is what enables women to look younger longer…I stay away from razor cuts because they can make my hair look frizzy, and I give myself a hair treatment while I’m in my sauna to keep it conditioned.

Cindy endorses the skincare line Meaningful Beauty, an anti-aging skin care line.
