Celebrity Trend Alert! Blood Red Lips

If you’re looking for a red hot trend this Fall, blood red  lipstick is what many celebs are chosing to wear on the red carpet. Catherina Zeta-Jones and Megan Fox are just some of the recent celebs who have pulled off the look impecably.

For trying the look yourself, makeup artist Pati Dubroff suggests directly applying a red lipstick and then outlining your lips with a matching lip pencil. Finish with a second application of lipstick.

Catherine Zeta Jones revealed some secret at-home beauty tips to keep her looking young and beautiful in the latest issue of Interview Magazine.

To banish fine lines and dead skin Catherine creates her own at-home scrub:

“I rub a mixture of honey and salt all over my body to moisturize and exfoliate. You wash it off and your skin is gorgeous.”

For her lustrous, shiny hair – Catherine douses it with some good lager!

“I do condition my hair with honey and beer. I smell like the bottom of a beer barrel for days afterwards but it’s very good for the hair.”

Catherine eats an apple a day… to keep her teeth nice and clean.

“…I love to eat an apple after a meal, just to cleanse my teeth – they always look polished afterwards. The juice or pulp of strawberries contains malic acid which serves as an astringent and can lighten surface stains. Pineapples work the same way.”

The always beautiful Catherine Zeta Jones attended Global Leadership Awards Gala in NY last night with her husband Michael Douglas, and her makeup looked like a complete mess! Catherine is the spokeswoman for Elizabath Arden and usually look impeccable on the red carpet.

It looks like she had either a bad sunburn or just needs a facial stat! Her makeup looks very dry and cakey, and her eye makeup looks worn and clumpy – fire that makeup artist! I totally understand even celebrities have bad makeup days, but this is just too extreme. It looks like she had her makeup done the night before and slept in it and didn’t even reapply lipstick. I knew a girl in high school who had her makeup done at Clinique and slept in it overnight so she could wear it to school the next day – it actually looked better than CZJ!
