Victoria Secret model Marisa Miller revealed diet and beauty secrets that make her the world’s most sexy model. Marisa denies ever starving herself to maintain her perfect model figure, she explains: “I’d much rather work out and not diet than not work out and have to diet”.
That doesn’t mean Marisa doesn’t eat healthy, she starts each day with a bowl of steel cut oatmeal with 2 spoonfuls of maple syrup, a little milk, and some sliced bananas. During the day she snacks on an apple with a couple wedges of Laughing Cow cheese, or Flavor and Fiber bars. As a special treat for desert Marisa indulges in some sliced strawberries or bananas drizzled with melted chocolate – how satisfying!

Marisa likes to workout by boxing, Spinning and using resistance bands for when she travels. “…you can toss one in your bag, and they work your muscles without bulking them up.”

1. Self Tan – creating a bronze glow will make you look thinner.

No mention of dinner. She’s having a very healthy breakfast and her apple and cheese could suffice for lunch. However, no mention of dinner.
She’s got a great body, slender and toned, not at all skinny. I wish I knew what kind of bronzer she used, great color with being orange-like.
elaine sounds jealous. marissa miller is gorgeous and will work my butt off to look like her thanks to her healthy advice. diet and excercse. there is no escaping it..i just need to accept it!

I agree. Elaine doens’t sound jealous at all. She sounds more concerned that no dinner was mentioned. Furthermore, she gave the model several accolades. Technically speaking, we all should have healthy 3 meals a day with healthy snack in between. We don’t know if the author omitted the information or if the model goes everyday sans dinner.
I think the diet is good, and no dinner is probably the key to her thinness. Who says you have to have dinner? As long as you eat healthy throughout the day, better not to eat at night.
i agree with kathleen. i’ve had doctors and dietitians tell me that cutting food at night really helps with the weight loss. she probably goes to bed early and snacks throughout the day…which is sufficient enough food. everyone just has the wrong idea about how much we’re suppose to eat these days. and elaine does sound a tad jealous at the end there, the company wouldn’t let a high end model come out orange.
Miller is orange, and has sun damaged skin.
Even stunning women are not immune to the damage the sun can cause.
As for the omitting dinner, I think that may be indicative of denial of food, at least in the evening.
Model’s don’t want to be known as the “anorexic” model, so of course they will deny starving even if they do starve on a regular basis.
Marisa has a great body and will keep it for a long time as long as she will visit the gym frequently and DOES her useful moves
She is a great example for living well and feeling great by respecting your own body by giving the attention it should need.

i was anorexic for a time, its all a matter of losing weight VERY slowly because ive gained most of my weight back and my old eating habbits, not that im fat or anything im ‘healthy weight’ but who doesnt want to be skinny?
anyway, i agree she probably skips the dinner, but i see nothing wrong with that, i maintained a very healthy weight with a mango for breakfast, fish, sticky rice, somtum and a banana with almond butter for lunch! then an hour yoga class and about 50 reps with 25 pound? weights. that was it! whats wrong with that?
Lots of people imply that models are thin or anorexic and for the most part that is true. VS models, however are definately true role models because they maintain their shape by excerise and working out – if they were underweight, then thier ribs and spine would be sticking out. This is simply not true for VS models.
The key to a flat stomach is not excercise nor starving yourself, it is simply eating smaller portions (which explains “snack throughout the day”). you can eat more often, just smaller amounts. The size of your stomach is, for the most part, determined by how much you eat & drink in one sitting.
As for the tanning, the article does not say that you have to lie out in the sun to achieve this tan. I am personally against sun-worshipping, and there are many alternatives to making your skin appear tanner, (without looking orange; i.e. sepia ink). Most models and actors will actually have the artificial tan applied, this is because the “tan” is more managable. Abs, cheekbones, and hipbones are often accented with bronzer to make the model/actor appear more thinner, and VS models use self-tanner products around the breasts to make them appear a cup size bigger. You don’t have to have skin cancer or be anorexic to look like a VS model.

I agree that dinner should be ommited from your meal plan when trying to lose weight, but this is NOT enough food by any means.
Especially when working out.
If you would like to lose weight speak to your doctor about finding a plan that works for you, not some model’s crazy diet that you found online.

I believe that you all are leading to anorexia in young women. Missing dinner is not good. I have learned that eating a healthy breakfast, snack , healthy lunch, snack, and a healthy dinner such as grilled chicken and steamed veggies is the best way to go. ommitting dinner is not an option. Marisa is a beatiful woman, but she may ormay not eat dinner… she works out all day, and IS PAID MILLIONS TO DO SO!
If you want to look like Marissa Miller you probably need to workout 1-2 hours a day and eat as healthy as the article states. This is the first time I have commented on something like this because it’s comical to hear others responses. She probably doesn’t eat dinner, otherwise they would have mentioned it. People eat way too much today! Just talk to your grandmother and she will tell you the difference in portions compared to today. If you are too lazy to workout hard and eat healthy don’t waste your time reading the article because you will probably never look like this! Victoria Secret models are paid alot of money to look the way they do and I’m sure if you had the opportunity you might skip dinner too.
She probably eats dinner, because they mentioned her dessert. Maybe it wasn’t worth mentioning its probably a standard grilled chicken or fish with steamed veggies, as most diets are.
I think she’s beautiful, who cares if she skips meals, you don’t have to live off someone else’s life, Live your own?
I clearly don’t know what Marisa’s idea of dieting is after reading this…this sounds like a diet if I’ve ever seen one.
She is a beautiful woman and I appreciate her honesty concerning her approach to healthy eating. To each is their own. More importantly she is a fine role model. She even is patriotic, and becomes involved in supporting our veterans and troops, which is something I can appreciate. <3
I’m going to start her diet tips tomorrow. However I honestly think exercise is the key to loosing weight, with that being said eating healthy will also play an important role in loosing weight.
Eat healthy! Eat small healthy snacks throughout the day. About every 2 to 3 hours even if you aren’t hungry. It keeps you from being hungry enough to over indulge. Also helps keep your metabolism move faster. Not eating and/or purging your food will drastically slow your metabolism down therefore causing weight gain.
We need to recognize there are people out there who can eat the fattiest foods in ridiculously huge portions and not gain a pound because they have fast metabolism’s. I have many family members and friends with this gift (and sometimes a problem when people think they’re anorexic). It’s not uncommon. It all depends on the rate on your metabolism.. And models have been training their stomachs to be smaller by eating smaller portions (not starving) and making their metabolism faster with the right foods and portions (remember it’s their JOB). Thats the amazing thing about our bodies that they can be altered and trained! Don’t look at skinny people/models/Marissa etc in a negative way.. whatever you’re hoping, wishing, praying, or asking for wont come when you’re basically telling the world its a bad thing. Try a new train of thought (face it the old negative way didn’t work or make it any easier, right?): Don’t call yourself fat and don’t “fight” fat.. Be FOR being skinny/fit/healthy etc.. embrace it and love it. And more importantly love yourself.
And about the dinner part.. Dont get me wrong I LOVE my food and I can be a pig haha! But I’ve done the eating healthy snacks in good portions throughout the day and by the end of the day you aren’t that hungry. Very strange for ME! So that could be the explaination for that.. And when you do eat dinner try to eat before 6:30pm-7pm.
. So I’d even reccommend that!
One of the big problems for us Americans is we usually eat late and we eat foods together that are hard for our bodies to digest when eaten together (it’s a chemical thing).. Such as eggs and bacon.. Steak and potatoes.. etc. Also many foods can take years to digest such as ribs..(Look these up). To help cleansers can help clear out your intestins and help you lose 5-20lbs just from backed up food in your intestins! Also helps bloating*.
And for anyone who has a hard time dieting give yourself one day a week to eat what you want. Of course don’t get too excited or panic and over indulge (like I have haha).. Just be patient and trust you’ll get to have it or another of your favorite foods again next week. If you go out to dinner try eating half of everything and get the rest to go and eat it for lunch or dinner the next day.
And last but not least.. Exercise. Dont know about you but I hated the gym.. Even though I went to a really nice one.. Didn’t like being indoors and people watching me.. Or feeling others competitiveness or watching them be insecure.. It just wasn’t a comfortable vibe. So I looked up exercises on the internet.. I bought a thermo belt that helps you sweat in your abdomin area when you exercise. Started hiking with my dogs (with the thermo belt on).. realized I love it! And they loved it! Way more beautiful and entertaining than walking in your neighborhood. And I felt really refreshed and connected with mother nature. So I definitely reccommend that. I also just started using the flex belt this week (because I’m lazy and as you know I like to feel comfortable while working out haha). Today was the 3rd time using it and my boyfriend and I already feel our muscles getting stronger. Feels like I did an effective workout in my abdomin without breaking a sweat
Do your research on everything! (Thats how I discovered this much). Research benefits from foods, foods that make your metabolism faster, nutrition, exercises for every part of your body, products, anything you want to know more about. Make sure you don’t just read reviews on that products site.. Google search that product with the word “reviews” and read what real people have to say about it.

This is based off a Cosmo magazine interview I read about a year back. In the magazine article MM talks about her dinner choices being healthy, usually lean meat and veggies.

PS: U guys are so literal about her menu, she eats dinner like most of us. The point was start off light & health, but the editor left it off. It’s the same typical Hollywood dinner: Salmon & Brown Rice or Salad & Sushi.
Not eat dinner? that’s not a good idea. the best thing you can do for your body is to eat small portions every three hours, especially pure protein for women it’s 150grams for men it’s about 200grams, if you eat that every three hours starting from 7am with your last snack at 10pm and have lots of greens like baby spinich and broccoli with lunch and dinner and a carbohydrate like rye toast or a piece of fruit like an apple after a couple weeks you’ll loose weight like crazy, your metabolism is re-trained so you turn into a fat burning machine and all you have to do is 10 thousand steps a day. Add resistance training after that every second day to build lean muscle. That’s the give-away sign that marissa does resistance training, her arms and abs have that tone you get from resistance. it’s fantastic.
Elaine does sound jealous. She doesn’t reference the author- only Ms. Miller. Elaine is implying that Ms. Miller doesn’t eat dinner due to the information provided in the short article. Only people incapable of critical thinking do that.
Just because the author does not mention her dinner does not mean Marisa skips that meal. Most likely, her dinner varies each night just like ours do, which is why it is pointless to try to explain what she normally eats. Super Models need to be eating small portions constantly to keep their metabolism working at its fastest. If she were to omit dinner and wait from lunch until the next morning to eat again, she would be dramatically slowing her metabolism each day. If you want to have a great figure like Marisa, the key is not to cut out meals; it’s simply to reduce the amount you eat at each meal and choose healthier options. This will keep your body burning calories much more quickly!

TO be thin there is no starving needed. eat good small meals` and your fine! you have 1 big meal in the weekend thats` ok to as long as it doesent go over buget. I also pefer to eat oatmeal in the morning when dieting. I also love my ceral though I think if u cut out salt though its` best to stay away from that inless u get a small portion! and dinner dont get so worried I mean think about what you can do for yourself not what others` do. I dont skipp dinner I just dont snack at night at all! Soup for dinner balances` things out its` good to get enough of veggies in there for dieters! when they say peanut butter and apples u should get like half the regular serving like 2 spoon except I would take half off . Looks` can be deceving it could be over that amount. Summer dieters` tend to binge and have to restart in winter and thats` not good !keep it up. also eating what you want is a good thing so excerzie more during and after your weight goal .Ps this Beotch knows` what she is talking about! OH and that model Is really skinny beautiful dont talk shit!
